I live in wedges. And when I find a wedge/platform that is comfortable enough for me to trot around in all day, I buy into it big. I got these Zora sandals 2 weeks ago in the NYC Isabel Marant boutique and haven’t wanted to take them off since the purchase.
Pros: A good 3 1/2 to 4 inches of height with almost no incline so the balls of my feet stay intact (not too painful). They are made really well, and haven’t scratched yet, which is rear for painted wood. I got the dark navy and green pair, and they go with everything. The price is reasonable as far as fashion shoes go ($610) and I will be able to wear them for years to come, especially because they weren’t on the runway (always a plus in my book).
Cons: They are really heavy so it’s a bit like having those 5 pound weights around your ankles, but I turn that into a PRO by thinking of wearing them as exercise. Another con is if you catch an edge in these puppies, your probably going down. I had a almost fall to the laughter of both me and my sister in a taco stand parking lot. And once, while crossing the street to get a coffee. And I am a seasoned professional, so these babies are comfortable as far as fashion wedges go, but you need some practice before hitting uneven land.
Overall Grade: B- points off for needing to practice walking in them and heaviness
I would recommend any girl I know to buy them despite the cons.
