Karl Lagerfeld presents a collection here at Chanel that hits a sell-able, wearable tone, despite the ever popular trousers under everything styling (Hello MJ, LV & Prada…). The collection reminds me a lot of last season but in darker tones. With clothes like these nothing particularly stands out on the runway, but when you see them in the shop you can appreciate the textures, quality of the sewing and attention to detail the Chanel atelier brings to the table. And any show set that looks like it has come out of an 80’s Jim Henson movie gets 2 thumbs up from me.
Faves: Opening Boucle Jacket, all of the skinny trouser shapes (nice short length and makes the leg look skkkkkiiiinnnnyyyyy), Crystal jewelry bits, The geometrically shaved fur coats, and all of the sparkly blue numbers toward the end of the show…
