By the appearance of his Fall Winter 2012 Show, Christopher Kane is looking forward to Tim Burton’s next film “Dark Shadows” just as much as I am. The first passage was particularly classic Burton with interpretations of the classic black and white pin stripe. I especially enjoyed the patch fur variety (WANT!). If you wanna do cheeky goth, this is it Chris Kane hit the nail on the head with gorgeous velvets, deep blue and blood red moire taffeta treatments, blood red florals and navy and purple leopard prints. And of course, what every goth cannot do without… black leather! With all that being listed, the collection is not a sombre as it may sound. He is having fun with these references and the sexy and fun gurls that Kane has been dressing for years now is still there in full force. She’s just channeling her inner vampire that’s all.
WANT: Oversized red sweater with tux trouser look, red floral lace dress with leather arms, the fur and denim jacket with matching jeans…and of course the silver fox jacket with the red moire effect trouser. GORG.
